In a world teetering on the brink of ecological crisis, the sustainable building industry stands as a beacon of hope. Yet, it’s frustrating to see many industry leaders continuing with business as usual, seemingly blind to the urgent need for change or deeming it too difficult to put changes in action. Biocentrism, explored in Marcelo Gleiser’s book, The Dawn of a Mindful Universe, presents a scientific perspective urging the building sector to prioritize life, leveraging available knowledge and technologies to create structures actively contributing to environmental regeneration.
